I’m in week 11. For a few days I had mild relief from nausea and heartburn, but it returned. A friend of mine mentioned that Tums helped her when she was pregnant, so I bought a pack, and it’s like the miracle ‘drug I never knew about! The active ingredient in Tums antacid is calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is primarily found in rocks. Amazing rocks those are. Calcium carbonate is used mostly in construction material to construct buildings. It’s also used as the principal ingredient in chalk. Knowing this kind of worries me as, intuitively, it doesn’t make sense that the same ingredient used in chalk is also suppressing my heartburn. But hey I’ll take it.
